FAQs-the common question when touring by motorcycle,motorbike in Vietnam

Q1. What do I have to bring with me for a trip to Vietnam and Indochina ?
A1. In order to have a beautiful trip to Vietnam or Indochina, first of all do not forget your passport + valid visa and then the personal lugguages according to your needs. The small gifts like photo, books, pens and small souvenirs representative of your country are advised especially when we spend the night at homestay.
For motorcycle tours, some additional articles as below are also necessary: good shoes, sleeping bags, sunglasses, creams against mosquito, medicament, flashlight…

Q2. Is it dangerous, the traffic in Vietnam ?
A2. Yes and No, that depends on the way which you drive. In the big cities, we drive slowly at around 20 - 25 km/h, when we are in the wild region, sometime in the countryside we are “alone” on the roads because we always choose the country roads: beautiful and calm.
However, follow the instructions of your guide who ensures your safety during the trip.

Q3. I travel alone, is it possible to join up a group or to travel “solo” ?
A3. We always try to organize spontaneous groups that the participants have a compatible program. Of course, if you want, we can organize a “solo” trip for you.

Q4. How long do we drive per day ?
A4. We hope to drive approximately 4-5 hours/day according to your program and to your skill. The stops are often during the day for photo, drinks or short visit in the villages beside our road.

Q5. Which is the best season to visit Vietnam and Indochina ?
A5. It makes rather cold and dryness in winter, heat and wet in summer. In autumn, the rains could arrive easily but not for long time. In spring, the weather is fresh and the flowers are everywhere.

However, if you travel between September and April, you could have certainly a beautiful trip.

Q6. I am beginner but I am interested in doing a motorbiking trip, could I take part in it and how ?
A6. Yes, it is possible that you travel with our assistance. We will thus organize a training course for you one day before the departure in order to give you a total confidence.

Q7. Do I need a driving licence to drive motorbike in Viêtnam ?
A7. Yes, if you travel without guide. When you travel with us, this is not really necessary. However it is obligatory that you obtained a personal insurance specialized in motorbiking.

Q8. How could I reserve my trip ?
A8. To reserve your tour, we request a deposit of 30% of the total amount by bank transfer before the departure (2 weeks minimum). For the amount remaining, you will pay by cash in USD, EURO, VND, or in credit cards as Visacard and Mastercard (commission of 3% for the bank), American Express (commission of 4% for the bank).
